Maranello, 23 January – It only took a few months to reach a million likers on Scuderia Ferrari’s official Facebook page. Set up halfway through last Spring, the wall on the most popular social network in the world has seen the number of Prancing Horse fans increase at an ever more frantic pace, especially in recent weeks: go back to just 19 December and there were half a million likers!

The millionth fan is Franco Capone, an Italian from Chivasso, who supports the Scuderia of course, as well as Juventus, as can be gleaned from his profile. He clicked his appreciation this evening a little after 8pm.

The Maranello team’s page lines up alongside the official Ferrari one, which is heading for more than 13 million likers. Along with Twitter and the www.ferrarif1.com site, the Scuderia notice board on the platforms is still seeing votes coming in for the choice of name of the car that Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen will drive in this year’s Formula 1 World Championship. There are only a few hours to go before the ballot ends and tomorrow, at 12.30 CET, the winning name will be revealed.
