Mugello, 11 November – There’s been no let-up in the bad weather at Mugello, even on this post-Finali Mondiali Monday, which has seen the first test of the 458 Challenge Evoluzione, the updated version of the car used in the Ferrari one-make series. Wind and rain battered the Tuscan circuit almost all day long, making for very difficult track conditions. Thirty or so brave souls nevertheless wanted to assess the car for the first time, immediately feeling the benefit of the increase in aerodynamic downforce produced by the modifications introduced, aimed at making the car even more driveable for all Ferrari owners who want to tackle a true on-track competition.

The kit will be obligatory on cars taking part in next year’s Challenge and it goes on sale in the coming weeks.

Maranello, 2 November –Having completed its development on track, the launch of the 458 Challenge Evoluzione is fast approaching as it will be shown to customers on 11 November at the Mugello Circuit, the day after the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali.

Here you can see a photo of the car taken during testing. Its most striking feature is clearly the rear wing: the 458 Challenge Evoluzione makes full use of the experience gathered in GT racing, in particular on the aerodynamic front. The increased downforce generated by the wing, balanced at the front by work carried out to the splitter and the floor, allows drivers to make full use of the 458 Challenge Evoluzione’s dynamics and performance, extending its limits and those of the driver, while improving performance both in terms of laps times and over long distances.
