Dubai, 5 November – The 458 Speciale, the very latest car in the Ferrari range, today made its official Middle East debut on the opening day of the Dubai International Motor Show.

Unveiling the Maranello sports car in front of the press and public were Giancarlo Fisichella, a Ferrari driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Giulio Zauner, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East & Africa and Hossam Hosni, General Manager Luxury Auto of Al Tayer Motors, the exclusive Ferrari importer for the United Arab Emirates.

The new special series car from the Maranello marque, like all Ferraris, features an ensemble of technological innovation which makes this car unique and special, aimed at the most demanding of its sports orientated customers who are looking for maximum excitement at the wheel. Patented by Ferrari and a world first are the innovations regarding the whole of the car, especially the power unit, its aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics, with an even more marked difference to the base model, than on special editions from the past, such as the Challenge Stradale and the 430 Scuderia.

On road and track, the 458 Speciale driver feels part of the vehicle itself, as it delivers instant response to inputs and total control in even the most complex of manoeuvres. All drivers can thus reach a high performance level, living an intense and exciting experience at the wheel of Ferrari’s most powerful 8 cylinder engine.

The most powerful aspirated engine (605 cv) and the highest specific power output (135 cv/l) in the history of road-going Ferrari V8 engines, an amazing power to weight ration (2.13 Kg/cv,) aerodynamic efficiency (an E Index of 1.5) and electronic control of the set-up angle (SSC:) these are some, but not all of the characteristics that make this car really Speciale and ensure that it is destined to set the standard for Ferraris of the future.

Alongside the 458 Speciale on the stand are other cars from the Prancing Horse range, such as the FF1, the F12 Berlinetta and the 458 Spider.
