Esperienza Ferrari visits Anhui Province for an unforgettable drive

Huangshan, 13 November, 2018 – Ferrari staged an exhilarating test drive along the winding routes of Huangshan, Anhui province, with tailor-made programmes specially designed to highlight the sheer power, performance and handling of its latest models. The exclusive event offers esteemed media guests and loyal Ferrari customers the unique opportunity to test-drive the all-new Ferrari Portofino, GTC4Lusso and GTC4Lusso T.

Rich in both culture and history, Huangshan city was a natural choice for Ferrari to demonstrate its latest line-up models. Being one of the three most prestigious regional cultures in China, Hui culture is profound and affluent in philosophical, economical, historical and artistic elements. Huangshan city is also home to one of UNESCO’S World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites, Huangshan Mountain, known and beloved for its scenic features of legendary pines, picturesque rocks and sea of clouds – the perfect setting for a thrilling test drive in some of the world’s most iconic supercars.

With 163 kilometres of pure driving adrenaline passing through ancient villages and lakes, guests were able to push the supercars through challenging routes under the guidance of experienced Ferrari instructors whilst fully enjoy the invigorating driving. In the meantime, guests were also welcomed with culinary feats and cultural marvels to reflect the heritage of the Italian supercar brand. As night fall, the red spotlights lit up the wooden tower adorning the hotel’s gardens, bringing to life the signature symbol of Ferrari, the ‘Cavallino Rampante’.

The three stars of the event showcased their GT pedigree against a backdrop of mountains and ornate Chinese structures. The Ferrari Portofino, new V8 GT set to dominate its segment thanks to a perfect combination of sportiness, elegance and on board comfort. It houses an impressive 3.9 litre V8 engine with a top speed of 320 km/h, which won “International Engine of the Year”, three years in a row. Capable of unleashing 600 cv and sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the Portofino is a powerful convertible to combine the advantages of a retractable hard top, a roomy boot and generous cockpit space plus two rear seats suitable for short trips.

The GTC4Lusso T is also equipped with the award winning V8 turbo engine capable of punching out a maximum speed of 320 km/h. With decreased fuel consumption and significantly less weight, the GTC4Lusso T is the perfect supercar to fulfil daily driving needs with enough space for four. As another member of the GT family, the GTC4Lusso offers unrivalled performance with a 12-cylinder engine that delivers smooth, consistent power with a top speed of 335 km/h, while superb drivability is guaranteed in all weather conditions thanks to its new control and integration logics with evolved 4RM systems (four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering). This is a car designed for those eager to experience the pleasure of driving a Ferrari anywhere and anytime, be it on short spins or long journeys, snowy mountain roads or city streets, alone or in the company of three.

Completing the impressive line-up of Ferrari supercars, guest also tested the 812 Superfast, designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and with a V12 powertrain boosted to a maximum speed in excess of 340 km/h; the 488 GTB, a mid-engined V8 supercar which can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in an astonishing 3 seconds; and the 488 Spider, delivering a top speed in excess of 325 km/h, is one of the most powerful and innovative Ferrari Spider ever built.
