Imola, 1 September – Thirty 458 Challenge EVO were on the track today in Imola for a day of trials in anticipation of the next championship race, scheduled for just over two weeks from today right at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari [Enzo and Dino Ferrari Racetrack].

New faces. Two new drivers made their début during the day: Deborah Mayer and Claudio Schiavoni; they have completed the Ferrari driver course and savoured the atmosphere of a race weekend for the first time. Corinna Gostner and Vladimir Hladik, winners of Race-2 in Budapest, were at the wheel again here. A new team also completed its first laps in the Ferrari Challenge: the Nicki Hasler team, which could make its official début in one of the remaining races of this season.

Best time. For the record, the best time of the day was clocked by Bjorn Grossmann (Octane 126) in 1’47”328, while Thomas Gostner was the afternoon’s hardest worker: driving the car of the Ineco-MP Racing team, he completed 101 laps; his best lap time was 1’50”322.
