Melbourne, 26th October – Australia’s premier celebration of the automotive lifestyle has awarded Ferrari its ‘Best in Show’ prize and assembled a tribute to the Dino nameplate with an unprecedented display of Ferrari Dinos at this year’s event at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building on 23-25 October.

The ‘Best in Show’ prize was won by the 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso.

The winning example is an original left-hand drive and only one of 350 built. It was originally a Californian car and after several US owners, one of which is believed to be Kirk Atwell, an American movie producer. The car was imported to Western Australia in 1980 where it remained in the Peter Briggs collection until 2010 when it was purchased by Oldtimer Garage in Queensland and then later sold to the current owner. The car has undergone a full restoration and engine rebuild.
