Maranello, 21 April – In the USA, on the Road Atlanta circuit the GT Grand Am Championship was held. Here the Ferrari 458 Italia with Balzan/Westphal came in second, followed by Papis/Segal, also on a 458 Italia. Both teams – the Scuderia Corsa and Ferri/AIM Motorsports respectively, drove an aggressive race, but, due to some problems, lost some time during the pit stops.

Maranello, 31 May – Ferrari GT cars will be in action across the globe this weekend – the circuit of Shanghai will play host to the Ferrari Racing Days in China; Blancpain moves to the British circuit of Silverstone, Grand AM in the USA in Detroit and last but not least the GT Open championship arrives in Germany at the legendary Nurburgring.
After huge success in Monza the Blancpain championship arrives on British soil – 18 Ferrari 458 will be fighting for the honours in the three classes. Attention with focus on Andrea Bertolini after an impressive race in Monza saw him finish 5th overall and winning the Pro-Am class with his AF Corse entered machine.
The three-hour race starts on Sunday 2nd June at 14:50 local time.
The third round of the GT Open category will also take place this weekend at the Nurburgring. The Ferrari 458 is by far the most popular car on the grid with four GT2 cars entered and 10 GT3. In the GT2 category the eyes will be on the AF Corse car of Matt Griffin and Duncan Cameron but also on Scuderia Villorba Corse driven by Andrea Montermini and Luca Filippi. In GT3 Kessel racing will enter four cars, AF Corse have two cars as do SMP Racing – Russian Bears and Ombra. After their impressive performance in Portugal attention should be paid to the talented pairing of Italian Matteo Beretta and British rising star Michael Lyons.
The championship will have a 70 minute race on Saturday 1st June, starting at 16:00 local time and a second 50 minute race on Sunday at 12:00. Motor City Detroit will host the next round of the Grand Am championship with three Ferrari 458 lining up on the GT grid – entered by Ferri / AIM Motorsports the car for Max Papis, and Jeff Segal. Scuderia Corsa will run Alessandro Balzan and Jeff Westphal and AIM Autosport FXDD car will be driven by Emil Assentato and Anthony Lazzaro. The two hour race will be run on Saturday starting at 12:25 local time.
